BANJA LUKA, JUNE 23 /SRNA/ - The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić said today in Banja Luka that the construction of the Banja Luka–Belgrade highway is the key project, and stressed that it would be a major step forward if the section to the Brodac interchange were completed by October.
"The construction of this highway was agreed upon by Presidents Milorad Dodik and Aleksandar Vučić. We discussed the construction of all sections, the Brodac interchange, contractual obligations, and property-legal relations," Minić said at a press conference after a meeting with Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut.
He said that Macut was informed about the bylaws regarding property and legal relations on segments of the highway.
Minić also noted that the meeting discussed railways as well, specifically the railway section from Višegrad toward Mokra Gora and Užice.
"We agreed to hold a meeting in July of prime ministers and ministers who are part of the working group dealing with railways," Minić said.
Regarding Trebinje Airport, Minić stated that 50 percent of land expropriation has been completed, that certain court proceedings are ongoing, and that efforts are being made at the level of BiH to resolve the adoption of a decision on the registration of this airport.
"We also discussed Expo, which is extremely important for the development of this region. The participation of Republika Srpska will be at a maximum level. When it comes to air transport, the Government of Republika Srpska is ready to contribute financially to secure as many flights as possible from Banja Luka to Belgrade as soon as possible," Minić said.
