BANJA LUKA, JUNE 10 /SRNA/ - The President of the SDS and Mayor of Teslić, Milan Miličević, and the Deputy Speaker of the Teslić Assembly, Mehmed Dubravac, are suspected of bribing SDA member of the Teslić Municipality Assembly, Meša Jašarević, with BAM 330,000 from October last year until May this year, the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Republika Srpska announced on its website.
“Miličević and Dubravac are suspected of giving the intermediary a total of BAM 80,000 on three occasions, from October 2024 to May 22, 2025, by prior agreement and with the aim of changing the Assembly majority, which he was supposed to deliver to Jašarević so that, within his official powers as an Assembly member and contrary to the political beliefs of the party he belongs to, he would vote in favor of proposals from the Assembly majority,” the Prosecutor’s Office stated.
The Prosecutor's Office added that they "subsequently contacted Jašarević and gave him a total of BAM 250,000 to leave his political option and vote according to the instructions of the suspects."
The Mayor of Teslić, Milan Miličević, and Assembly members Meša Jašarević and Mehmed Dubravac, suspected of accepting bribes and influence peddling, were today taken to the Republika Srpska Public Prosecutor’s Office in Banja Luka.
The prosecutor has a 24-hour deadline to question the suspects and possibly propose detention, after which the District Court in Banja Luka will decide on the matter.
