MEMORIAL SERVICE HELD, WREATHS LAID TO HONOUR FALLEN MoI MEMBERS

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 4 /SRNA/ - A memorial service for 782 fell members of Republika Srpska Ministry of Interior /MoI/ was held at the Central Memorial in Banja Luka today on the occasion of Republika Srpska Police Day - April 4, and Srpska and Serbia officials laid wreaths and flowers.

Wreaths were laid by the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Srpska Nenad Stevandić, Prime Minister Radovan Višković, the envoy of the Serb BiH Presidency member, Republika Srpska Minister of Interior Siniša Karan, and Srpska Police Director Siniša Kostrešević.

Wreaths were laid at the memorial by the delegation of Serbia consisted of the Interior Minister of Serbia Ivica Dačić and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin, as well as a Moscow Police delegation.

Flowers were laid at the memorial by family members of the fallen MoI members, Serb representatives of the Armed Forces of BiH, as well as representatives of organisations stemming from the Defensive-Patriotic War and the City of Banja Luka.

A moment of silence was held in honour of the victims.

Before the memorial service, an honorary unit of the MoI was lined up in front of the building of the Srpska Interior Ministry, whose commander Vitomir Petričević reported to the President of the Republic Milorad Dodik.
