MEDICAL FACULTY MARKS 47 YEARS OF WORK WITH A CEREMONIAL ACADEMY

BANJA LUKA, November 15 /SRNA/ - The Medical Faculty of the University of Banja Luka marked 47 years of its work with a ceremonial academy held at the Banski dvor Cultural Center, where Dean Ranko Škrbić presented diplomas to students who successfully completed their studies.

"This year we have 168 graduates receiving their diplomas. This is an opportunity to celebrate this day with our guests and the families of the graduates, and to highlight what we have accomplished in the previous period. Our goal is to be among the best faculties in the region," Škrbić told reporters.

Radoslav Gajanin, Rector of the University of Banja Luka, congratulated the Faculty on its anniversary and emphasized that the Medical Faculty must continue its dedicated work.

"This is the most active faculty. If we look at the numbers, the Medical Faculty publishes between 30 and 40 percent of all scientific publications at the University. It also has the highest number of PhD graduates. Out of a total of 28 this year, 14 come from the Medical Faculty," Gajanin noted.

The Medical Faculty's Student of the Year, Katarina Talić, said that carrying this title is a great honor but also a responsibility.

"It motivates me to continue giving my maximum in my work. If the opportunity arises, I would like to pursue further specialization abroad, but I would certainly return here. I would encourage everyone to follow their dreams, because hard work pays off," Talić said.
