MEDIĆ: HAGUE MECHANISM'S DECISION WORSE THAN DEATH SENTENCE

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, MAY 14 /SRNA/ – The President of the "Creators of Republika Srpska" Association Stevan Medić told SRNA that the decision of the Hague Mechanism not to allow General Ratko Mladić to receive medical treatment in Serbia is worse than a death sentence.

Medić said that General Mladić should have been allowed to undergo treatment in Serbia on all legal and humanitarian grounds.

"That is a precedent, and justice left the Hague a long time ago. There is only injustice in the Hague,” Medić stressed.

Medić said that the Hague is committing a crime against General Mladić.

"These are his final moments, days and hours. I see no reason for such mistreatment of an almost dead man", Medić said.

The Hague Mechanism rejected a defense request for General Ratko Mladić to be released for treatment in Serbia due to his serious health condition.
