BANJA LUKA, JANUARY 24 /SRNA/ – The head of the SNSD caucus in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Srđan Mazalica, states that SDS, with the announced possibility of boycotting the repeated presidential elections in Republika Srpska, continues its political pressure on the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH, which certainly fulfills the opposition’s wishes.
"Repeating elections at 136 polling stations is illegal, and it is a move by which the CEC serves the opposition, as well as official Sarajevo, to destabilize Republika Srpska," Mazalica told SRNA.
He added that whenever SDS requests something from the CEC, the CEC complies.
"Either this is a performance aimed at showing that they are not in close relations with the CEC, but from everything we have seen so far, it is clear that the CEC’s moves that help the opposition in Republika Srpska are constant," Mazalica emphasized.
Today, SDS announced that they do not exclude the possibility of boycotting the repeat presidential elections in Republika Srpska if the CEC of BiH does not change the regulations that prevent political parties from accrediting new members of polling boards and observers.
The CEC of BiH previously decided that repeat snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska would be held on February 8 at 136 polling stations in 17 constituencies.
It is about certain polling stations in Prijedor, Laktaši, Banja Luka, Doboj, Stanari, Lopare, Ugljevik, Osmaci, Zvornik, Vlasenica, Bratunac, Nevesinje, Gacko, Rudo, Bileća, Milići, and Brčko.
