BANJA LUKA, JULY 23 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education Draga Mastilović says significant efforts are being made to improve the quality of education and raising student standards, and that the Science and Technology Park in Srpska is expected to begin operating within two years.

“Our goal is for students studying outside Republika Srpska to return to Srpska and demonstrate their knowledge, while we provide them with everything they need,” Mastilović told RTRS.

He pointed out that cooperation with Serbia regarding the construction of the Science and Technology Park has intensified, and that concrete steps have been agreed in the fields of science and technological development.

“We have also formed a Coordination Team that proposes concrete steps to improve cooperation. This includes the international approach to journals and the categorisation of our journals in Serbia,” Mastilović explained to RTRS.

The goal, he says, is for Srpska to gain full access to scientific funds in Serbia.

The aim of the Science and Technology Park of Republika Srpska is to attract innovative companies, develop a knowledge-based economy, support businesses, facilitate cooperation between scientific organisations and industry, contribute to digital transformation, promote entrepreneurship and innovation, create employment opportunities, and attract qualified experts.
