BANJA LUKA, JULY 8 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Minister for Scientific and Technological Development Draga Mastilović addressed a roundtable in Moscow today on the centuries-long destruction of Serbian cultural and historical heritage in the territory of present-day BiH, as well as current efforts to preserve and protect it.
Mastilović informed his Russian counterparts about the latest attempt by the Bosniak and Croat members of the BiH Presidency to appoint new members of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments of BiH by outvoting the Serb member of the Presidency, Željka Cvijanović.
"For Republika Srpska, this represents yet another attack on Serbian cultural and historical heritage in BiH, as was confirmed by the Republika Srpska National Assembly during yesterday's session," it was stressed during the discussion.
Mastilović took part online in the roundtable on the preservation and protection of cultural heritage in conflict zones, according to the statement from the Republika Srpska Ministry for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education.
The roundtable was chaired by Sergey Yevgenyevich Naryshkin, Chairman of the Russian Historical Society. Participants also included Ruslan Gagkuev, Chairman of the Society's Management Board, and Konstantin Ilyich Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
