LONČAR: ECONOMIC SUMMIT OF GREAT IMPORTANCE FOR SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, MAY 28 /SRNA/ – The holding of the first European Summit on Economy and Security is of great importance for Banja Luka and Republika Srpska, which will gain worldwide attention, Jana Lončar, President of the Gold Institute for International Strategy, said today.

"In this way, Banja Luka will deepen diplomatic relations with many important countries. Also, through this event, Banja Luka and Republika Srpska will gain recognition throughout the region and the world," Lončar told the press.

Serbia’s Minister for European Integration Nemanja Starović emphasized that such an important gathering properly positions Banja Luka as one of the key centres of dialogue, intellectual exchange, and diplomatic interaction in the Western Balkans.

"This is a good opportunity to exchange political, economic, and security views with important interlocutors around the world," Starović said at a press conference, adding that Serbia remains committed to peace, stability, and economic development.

Organised by the Gold Institute for International Strategy, the first European Summit on Economy and Security was ceremonially opened today in Banja Luka, bringing together more than 100 participants from over 20 countries.
