BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 14 /SRNA/ - Another difficult but humane mission was completed today by a helicopter of the Aviation Administration of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs, which involved the medical evacuation of a three-year-old child with initials I.A., from Ugljevik, who was suffering from a bleeding tumor.
"The child, in serious condition, was admitted to the University Clinical Center of Republika Srpska in Banja Luka, from where, accompanied by a doctor and a medical technician, they were urgently transported to Belgrade for further treatment. This flight provided the child with a chance at life, a chance to continue the fight for survival that every child deserves," the Aviation Administration of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs stated.
Boban Kusturić, Head of the Aviation Administration of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs, said that when it comes to transporting children, every crew member and medical team member experiences it very emotionally.
"Today we carried out one of the most difficult missions so far, but each such mission embodies the meaning of our existence, to be there when it is most needed, when the choice is between hope and giving up. We wish our little patient a successful treatment and a speedy recovery, with the sincere hope that everything will turn out as we all wish," Kusturić emphasized.
He emphasized that this was the 84th medical air transport carried out this year, which clearly demonstrates the steadily growing need for such interventions, while also confirming the value and importance of this type of assistance.
The Aviation Administration of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs, he added, as always stands by the citizens of Republika Srpska at any moment, in any place, and in every situation where human life is at stake.
