KOVAČEVIĆ: 13TH PENSION PROMISE SOUNDS GOOD, BUT IN REALITY MEANS LESS THAN AMOUNT BY WHICH REPUBLIKA SRPSKA GOVERNMENT INCREASES PENSIONS ANNUALLY

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 15 /SRNA/ – A 13th pension sounds good, but in reality it is significantly less than the amount by which the Republika Srpska Government increases pensions annually, SNSD spokesperson Radovan Kovačević said.

“Paying a 13th pension would mean an overall annual increase of 8.33 percent, while the Government headed by Savo Minić has already increased pensions by more than 10 percent in 2026,” Kovačević said.

He emphasized that over the past year, since Minić has assumed the position of the prime minister, the increase in pensions has reached nearly 14 percent.

“In other words, the promise of a 13th pension sounds as you are going to give pensioners more, but in reality it means that you are going to take something away from them, i.e. give them less. That is why I am certain that pensioners in Republika Srpska will be able to recognise lies and deception, and that, as before, they will keep trusting the Republika Srpska institutions,” Kovačević posted on X.
