BANJA LUKA, APRIL 26 /SRNA/ - A member of the National Assembly of Bulgaria, Kostadin Kostadinov, said that attacks on Christianity are happening across Europe and that a united effort is needed to defend Christian values.

Kostadinov, who is also the president of the Revival party, emphasized that he is happy to attend the International Forum "Resurrection – 2025: Peace, Stability, and Christian Values in Modern Europe and the Balkans" in Banja Luka, noting that Europe is facing many problems, and if it wishes to solve them, it must begin addressing them now.

"We can see that a war against Christianity and our Christian values is underway in Europe. There is an attempt to de-Christianize our continent.

In my country, Bulgaria, which is an Orthodox nation, there is a very strong attack against our Patriarch because we want religious education to be taught in schools, while they are attacking our faith," Kostadinov said at a press conference before the start of the Forum.

He noted that in Bulgaria, there are media outlets and political organizations financed by the U.S. Democratic Party and George Soros, which attack religion by claiming that it is "a threat to children" and that "children should not be taught religion in schools."

"Such attacks on Christianity are not happening only in Bulgaria, but across Europe. We have a common enemy and common problems, and therefore, our actions must be united.

"That’s why I am very happy to be here and to represent my party in Bulgaria. We are fighting together as allies for Christian values and Christianity in Europe," said Kostadinov.

He also thanked the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, for the invitation to participate in the Forum.
