KOŠARAC: MEMORIAL ROOM WILL HONOR CREATION OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

HAN PIJESAK, AUGUST 30 /SRNA/ – Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers Staša Košarac said that the memorial room dedicated to the Army of Republika Srpska, for which the foundation stone was laid in Han Pijesak today, will serve as a reminder of the honorable creation of Republika Srpska.

"Today’s laying of the foundation stone is a symbol of our commitment to all the decisions that were made at that time. Those decisions were in the interest of preserving the Serbian national identity in BiH, the Serb people and Republika Srpska,” Košarac told reporters.

He stressed that future generations should know how and in what way Republika Srpska was created with honor and integrity, adding that it is open to all people who wish to live in it.

"This building will serve as a reminder of the creation of Republika Srpska and of our patriotic obligation to preserve it and work for it," Košarac said.

He stated he was proud that, as a former member of the Army of Republika Srpska, he had participated in the creation of Republika Srpska alongside his father, adding that, now that he holds public office, he always keeps in mind what he can do for the good of Republika Srpska.

"I will never give up on it. They may initiate proceedings before various courts, but they cannot forbid us from loving Republika Srpska. My love for Republika Srpska is directed at no one. I have the right to love my people and my Republic and to work for them," Košarac said.

He stressed that today's gathering of demobilized members of the Army of Republika Srpska in Han Pijesak demonstrated strong energy and determination to continue working together with Republika Srpska's institutions to preserve and develop the Republic.

The foundation stone for the memorial room dedicated to the Army of Republika Srpska was laid today at Han Kram near Han Pijesak.
