KOŠARAC LAYS WREATH, NATALIE'S RAMONDA PIN AND SRPSKA FLAG BADGE ON GENERAL MLADIĆ'S GRAVE

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 16 /SRNA/ - Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Staša Košarac visited the grave of General Ratko Mladić in Belgrade today.

On the occasion, Košarac wore a Natalie’s Ramonda pin on his lapel — a symbol of Armistice Day in the First World War, known as the “phoenix flower,” representing resurrection, perseverance, and remembrance of the suffering of the Serbian people.

The same symbol was worn on their lapels in 2017 by General Ratko Mladić and then-President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik during the delivery of the verdict against the former Chief of the Main Staff of the Army of Republika Srpska at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague.

Košarac laid a wreath, a Natalie’s Ramonda pin, and a badge bearing the flag of Republika Srpska on the grave.

He posted photographs of the visit on Instagram, accompanied by the words from the Symbol of Faith: “I await the resurrection of the dead and the life of the age to come.”
