KOROBCHENKO: GREAT POTENTIAL FOR ENERGY COOPERATION

BANJA LUKA, JULY 22 /SRNA/ – The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko stated that there is great potential for cooperation with Republika Srpska, especially in the field of energy.

Korobchenko said that representatives of Tatarstan are ready in the coming days to work out all aspects with people from Srpska in order to implement joint projects in energy and other sectors.

He pointed out that Tatarstan has a developed industry, especially petrochemicals.

"If we can bring gas here through certain pipelines, you can establish processing plants that could produce artificial fertilizers," Korobchenko said at a joint press conference in Banja Luka with the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik.

He added that in this regard, Srpska could be assisted by Tatarstan companies experienced in such operations.

According to him, Tatarstan can assist Srpska, in line with previously signed agreements, in establishing the production of new materials, petrochemical, construction, and other products.

Korobchenko also said that Tatarstan would be interested in mines in Srpska engaged in metal extraction, as well as in companies for their processing.
