KOJIĆ: MEMORIAL CENTRE HAS BECOME WEAPON FOR POLITICIANS FROM FBiH

SREBRENICA, AUGUST 13 /SRNA/ – The latest criminal complaint filed by the Potočari Memorial Centre once again shows that the institution is a weapon in the hands of politicians from the Federation of BiH /FBiH/, or certain politicians from Republika Srpska whose parties are headquartered in Sarajevo, assessed Branimir Kojić, president of the Srebrenica Organisation of Families of Captured and Killed Soldiers and Missing Civilians.

"This time, Srđan Amidžić, the Minister of Finance and Treasury in the Council of Ministers, is targeted because /Srebrenica Memorial Centre Director Emir/ Suljagić and his friends do not like what Amidžić is doing and saying," Kojić told SRNA.

Kojić asked what would come next after Milorad Dodik, RTRS, Branimir Đuričić, Gvozden Šarac, Nada Veletić, himself, and all those who say things that do not suit the "post-war Potočari elite".

"I would not be surprised if the Prosecutor's Office of BiH established an office inside the Memorial Centre itself and started hunting down all Serbs who do not say the same things as Suljagić and his team. They present themselves everywhere as democratically oriented, but there is nothing democratic about them, because the only thing they accept is what they themselves believe," Kojić said.

According to him, they behave like spoiled children who refuse to play unless things are done their way, defending every mistake or alleged wrongdoing by claiming that they survived some kind of genocide.

Kojić asked Suljagić what the Serb people experienced in and around Srebrenica, how many Muslims died during the war in Srebrenica, and where those people were buried.

"What about the assassination attempts carried out by Naser and his executioners, of whom there were, I believe, around 40, as testified by Huso Salihović and Ibran Mustafić, who was the target of several assassination attempts?" Kojić asked.

He also asked how long they intended to use the Centre as a political weapon instead of respecting all victims, as the Serb people do, which, he said, had been demonstrated on numerous occasions.

Suljagić filed a criminal complaint with the Prosecutor's Office of BiH against Amidžić over what he described as suspicion that he had failed to implement decisions of the High Representative concerning the Memorial Centre.

The Bijeljina District Public Prosecutor's Office previously opened a case concerning the operations of the Srebrenica Memorial Centre public institution in 2022 following a report alleging tax and contribution evasion.
