ROGATICA, NOVEMBER 10 /SRNA/ – The Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, has stated today in Rogatica that supporting economic progress is the essence of education.
After visiting the Power Company together with SNSD leader, Milorad Dodik, Karan says this firm is a good example for others because it provides scholarships for future employees, thereby securing the workforce it needs.
According to him, such companies serve as meeting points where all levels of education are verified against the labour market.
"This is where it becomes most evident whether our education is directed toward what the labour market needs," Karan told the press.
He emphasized that the progress of this company depends on the quality of the educated workforce.
"This business entity has a large number of production activities that require specific personnel and technological innovations," Karan noted.
The Power Company was founded in 2000 and operates in the wholesale, retail, and manufacturing sectors. The company employs more than 200 workers.
