KARAN HANDS IN PLAQUE TO DAČIĆ

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 4 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Interior Minister Siniša Karan handed in a plaque to Interior Minister of Serbia Ivica Dačić at the ceremonial gathering in Banja Luka, on the occasion of Police Day of Republika Srpska - April 4.

Karan, handing over the plaque to Dačić, has said that today the Srpska MoI is giving recognition to those with whom efforts were often joined in the fight against modern security risks and threats, in order to strengthen bilateral and multilateral police cooperation.

He added that the plaque was also awarded to the Military Academy of the Interior Ministry of Serbia for its significant contribution to the continuous education of police officers - future highly ranked officers, which contributes to the strengthening of the Ministry's human capacities.

Karan also presented the plaque to the representatives of the M:tel Company and the president of the Missing and Abused Children Centre Igor Jurić, who helped establish AMBER Alerts system, which galvanize the public in child-abduction cases "Find Me" in Republika Srpska.

Minister Karan emphasized the importance of this system, which has improved the work of the MoI and is for the benefit of all citizens.

At the gathering, all previous uniforms of the Republika Srpska MoI worn by the children of former police officers, students of the High School of Internal Affairs and cadets of the Police Academy were presented.
