KARAN AND DODIK PRESENT DECORATIONS TO DOCTORS AND MEDICAL STAFF FROM SARAJEVO-ROMANIJA REGION

ISTOČNA ILIDŽA, SEPTEMBER 22 /SRNA/ - President of Republika Srpska Siniša Karan and SNSD President Milorad Dodik presented decorations today in Istočno Sarajevo to doctors and medical technicians from the Sarajevo-Romanija region for their merits in the fight against the enemy, as well as their immeasurable contribution to providing healthcare services and to the creation and liberation of Republika Srpska.

The Order of the Cross of Mercy was awarded to former Director of the Republika Srpska Pension and Disability Insurance Fund Jovo Kosmajac, academician and surgeon at the Koran Military Hospital Mirko Šošić, and former director of the Kasindo Hospital and wartime surgeon Slavko Ždrale.

Also decorated were academician and surgeon Marko Vuković, wartime surgeon at Kasindo Hospital Ratomir Golijanin, nurse Milena Dragičević, former director of Kasindo Hospital Milan Pejić, former head of the Transfusion Service at Kasindo Hospital Gospava Pejić, former anesthesiologist at the Žica wartime hospital Dragomir Vujičić, medical worker at the Žica wartime hospital Jelka Milanović, former doctor at the Koran Military Hospital Miladin Babić, and nurse at Koran Hospital Dušanka Cicović.

Also decorated were Colonel Boriša Stojanović, neuropsychiatrist Milomir Đerić, doctor at the Sokolac Military Hospital Ratko Radović, first director of the former Institute of Public Health Jovo Šehovac, former director of the Pale Health Centre Mira Kaurin-Trifković, former head of the Medical Service of the Fourth Corps of the Army of Republika Srpska, Colonel Tonči Poša, surgeon Jovan Okuka, and, posthumously, former Minister of Health in the Government of the SAO Romanija and neuropsychiatrist Momir Janković.
