EAST SARAJEVO, JUNE 10 /SRNA/ – Draga Mastilović, Director of the Institute of Historical Sciences at the University of East Sarajevo and Konstantin Nikiforov, Director of the Institute for Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow, signed a Cooperation Agreement that more precisely defines the directions of future collaboration.

During the visit of the Russian delegation to the Institute of Historical Sciences, it was agreed that a joint photo monograph would be published this year, that regular exchange of scientific publications would take place, and that a scientific conference marking the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Dayton Peace Accords would be jointly organized in November, the University of East Sarajevo announced.

The Russian delegation, which included senior research associate Ksenia Melchakova in addition to Nikiforov, was introduced to the work and past achievements of the Institute of Historical Sciences, as well as to upcoming activities and planned projects.

The signing of the agreement was attended by Milan Kulić, Rector of the University of East Sarajevo, Yuri Pichugin, Counselor at the Embassy of the Russian Federation for Scientific, Cultural and Educational Cooperation, and Aleksandar Borisov on behalf of the Rossotrudnichestvo organization in BiH.

The Russian delegation also visited the Faculty of Philosophy and the Church of the Assembly of the Holy Archangel Gabriel in Pale.
