PALE, JUNE 25 /SRNA/ - The Creators of Republika Srpska Association strongly condemned threats of physical elimination made by SDA leader Bakir Izetbegović against SNSD President Milorad Dodik, assessing that this is a consequence of "unitarist and Western-globalist frustration" over the fact that Republika Srpska has broken free from tutelage and survived all pressures.
"Izetbegović's defense, that he actually meant the need for the BiH judiciary, continuing its political-legal bullying, to finish off Dodik in every sense, is unconvincing," the Association stated in its press release.
The Association stated that all of this is far more than a mere personal conflict between two leaders, but rather a consequence of "unitarist and Western-globalist frustration" over the fact that Republika Srpska, thanks to the political maturity of its people and leadership, has broken free from tutelage and that its key democratically elected institutions have survived both internal and external pressures.
On the international level, the Association emphasized that Republika Srpska has continued to broaden understanding and support for its position, rejecting foreign interventionism and calling on all political actors in BiH to engage in internal dialogue and reach an agreement.
The Association expressed confidence that this is the best way to build mutual trust among the three peoples and preserve peace and stability in the country.
"It would be beneficial if the Serb opposition also understood all of this in the right way and realized that above all European reform topics and declarations, the Serbian unity and the defense of Republika Srpska are more important, because the ambitions of Bosnian unitarists and Western globalists to abolish Srpska, or to reduce it to an empty shell by stripping it of its property, have not yet been extinguished," the Creators of Republika Srpska stated.
The insistence on the original Dayton Peace Agreement and the restoration of powers taken from Republika Srpska, the Association noted, should form the backbone of the legal and political struggle for the freedom and equality of the Serb people in the country.
"We, who together with our people, army, and police created and defended Republika Srpska at great sacrifice, know very well what we are talking about and what we are warning about today," the Creators of Republika Srpska Association stated.
The press release reminds that Dodik, as a member of the Assembly of the Serb people in BiH, took part in the founding of Republika Srpska in 1992 and that he is a member of the Association.
