BANJA LUKA, MARCH 14 /SRNA/ – The Scientific Council of Ivanovo State University of the Russian Federation has awarded the title of honorary professor of the university to Republika Srpska Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education Draga Mastilović, in recognition of his outstanding achievements in the fields of historical science and education.
Thanking the university for the honor, Mastilović said he considers the high academic recognition both a major professional and personal achievement and an incentive for further work on strengthening academic ties.
"This recognition is a great honor for me, but also an obligation to continue building even stronger cooperation between universities and scientific institutions of Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation. I am convinced that through joint scientific projects and the exchange of students and researchers we can further advance the development of higher education and science," Mastilović stressed.
The award was presented to Minister Mastilović by the rector of Ivanovo State University and president of the Council of Rectors of the Ivanovo Region, Aleksey Malygin, who highlighted his contribution to the development of science and academic cooperation.
During his stay in Moscow, Mastilović also met with the vice rector of Ivanovo State University Nikita Sorokin, the rector of Ivanovo State Power Engineering University Grigory Ledukhovsky and his associates, as well as with Daria Greber, director of the international office of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University.
They discussed possibilities for establishing and expanding cooperation between Russian universities and universities and the scientific community in Republika Srpska, particularly in the areas of joint scientific projects, academic exchange, and institutional cooperation, the line ministry told SRNA.
