ISTOČNO SARAJEVO HAS POTENTIAL TO BE AMONG MOST DEMANDED DESTINATION

PALE, SEPTEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - Istočno Sarajevo has all the prerequisites to be among the most demanded destinations in Republika Srpska in this year's voucher program, the Director of the city's Tourism Organization Stefan Stajčić.

"Pale, Jahorina and the entire area of Istočno Sarajevo have something to offer even during autumn, from hiking, walking and spending time in nature, all the way to gastronomic offer, cultural-historical content and numerous other tourist activities," Stajčić pointed out.

He stated that tourist vouchers are an important and the extension of the tourist season in Republika Srpska, but also a significant opportunity for the tourism economy of the city.

Speaking about Istočno Sarajevo, Stajčić singled out the hotels Damis and Lavina, which in the previous period achieved the highest number of one-night bookings realized through tourist vouchers.

He pointed out that this shows that this instrument has a concrete and measurable effect on the tourism economy, but also that there is a great interest of citizens in staying at destinations in Istočno Sarajevo.

Stajčić invited the citizens of Republika Srpska and all beneficiaries of the vouchers to take advantage of the announced beautiful autumn days for vacation in Istočno Sarajevo and Jahorina.

The sales manager of the Termag Hotel in Jahorina Branislav Timotić told SRNA that this hotel is a partner of the the tourist voucher program of the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of the Republic of Srpska this year as well.

He stated that, as in previous years, adult citizens residing in Republika Srpska, as well as adult citizens residing in Brčko District who have citizenship of Srpska, can apply for vouchers through the regular procedure.

Timotić stated that from Monday, September 7, in addition to other entities registered in the program, the vouchers will be able to be used for the services of the Termag Hotel.

"The condition for using a voucher worth BAM 100 is a reservation of at least two nights, if one person is staying. For two people who want to use two vouchers, with a total value of BAM 200, the condition is a reservation of at least three nights in our hotel," explained Timotić.

According to him, the value of the voucher is deducted from the total hotel bill incurred by the guest during their stay, which he assessed as a good opportunity for citizens to use the vouchers and spend a pleasant vacation in Jahorina.

The tourist voucher program will run from September 7 to November 30.

On August 13, the Government of the Republic of Srpska, with the aim of developing domestic tourism, passed the Decree on the allocation of tourist vouchers to the citizens of Srpska for the subsidized use of services in hospitality facilities for accommodation.
