BANJA LUKA, APRIL 14 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Minister of Labor and Veterans' and Disability Protection Radan Ostojić said it is unacceptable and shameful that the Islamic Community organized a commemoration of the formation of the so-called Army of BiH in Tuzla featuring posters of Sakib Mahmuljin, who was convicted of war crimes against Serbs on Mount Ozren.

"This is an insult to Serb war victims, the Serb people, and Republika Srpska," Ostojić said.

He announced that appropriate steps would be taken, including the filing of criminal complaints against those responsible for the event.

"Sakib Mahmuljin was given a minimal sentence for such crimes, was allowed to leave BiH, and now his image appears on posters and various portals. This is a man who commanded the Seventh Brigade, which included mujahideen who beheaded Serbs in the Ozren area," Ostojić told reporters in Banja Luka.

He stressed that this reflects double standards in the BiH judiciary and added that institutions established after the signing of the Dayton Peace Accords function to the direct detriment of the Serb people and Republika Srpska.
