BANJA LUKA, JUNE 5 /SRNA/ - During meeting of the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić with the delegation of International Monetary Fund /IMF/ today in Banja Luka, as a part of regular annual consultations, it was noted that the total amount of investments in Republika Srpska in this year is expected to reach BAM 6,6 billion.

Minić presented the key fiscal parameters and expectations of economic growth for this year, noting that Republika Srpska expects a strong investment cycle this year, including mass investments in public infrastructure projects.

It was noted that BAM 600 millions will be invested through public projcts, while the total amount of investments in Republika Srpska reaches BAM 6.6 billion, the Bureau of the Government of Republika Srpska for public relations stated.

Representatives of IMF, led by the head of the mission David Amaglobeli, presented the expected fiscal indicators for the Republika Srpska, with special reference to projected prospects in the context of global challenges, and especially the growth of energy prices.

During the meeting, they discussed the reform measures that will be taken in the coming period, aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the economy and creating a favorable business environment.

The Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska Zora Vidović also participated in the meeting.
