BANJA LUKA, APRIL 3 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Minister of Internal Affairs Siniša Karan says that Interpol's decision to reject the request of the unconstitutional Court of BiH to issue a red notice for high officials of Republika Srpska confirms that it is a political persecution of the institutions of Srpska and its leaders.
"This is based on something that is not law and comes from someone who cannot enact laws, and unfortunately, it has been supported by unconstitutional judicial institutions at the level of BiH. This has been a political case and persecution from the very beginning, unconstitutional and illegal, and Interpol acted entirely correctly," Karan told reporters in Banja Luka.
He added that Interpol is an international organization whose primary task is police cooperation beyond borders, that it operates based on principles upon which it was founded, and that any kind of criminal activity or internal matters with a political, ideological, religious, racial, or similar background cannot be the subject of Interpol’s warrants.
Karan emphasized that the Ministry of Internal Affairs has its legal framework that prevents unconstitutional institutions from acting unconstitutionally within Republika Srpska.
"The National Assembly of Srpska and all its institutions have created a legislative framework to protect the constitutional order of Republika Srpska and all its institutions," Karan said.
Yesterday, Interpol rejected the request of the unconstitutional Court of BiH to issue a red notice for the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the Speaker of the National Assembly of Srpska Nenad Stevandić.
