PRIJEDOR, MARCH 27 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, said today that in its hundred-year history, Interpol has never issued and must not issue arrest warrants for political persecution.
Karan says that Interpol has its own rules, according to which it can never issue arrest warrants for individuals who are politically persecuted for religious, ethnic, ideological, wartime, or other reasons.
"I believe that they will demonstrate their professionalism based on Interpol’s regulations," Karan told reporters in Prijedor.
He emphasized that it is good for this issue to be internationalized in this way so that the broader international community understands that this is an unprecedented persecution by a wandering foreigner and wandering unconstitutional institutions.
"Republika Srpska has recognized this and provided an institutional response. The Republika Srpska National Assembly has adopted a series of laws that are binding for all institutions of Republika Srpska, in which it exclusively and predominantly protects its constitutional position, protects the Constitution of Republika Srpska, protects the Constitution of BiH, and protects the Dayton Peace Agreement. This is where the answer lies for resolving this crisis. Let's return to the Dayton Agreement, the Constitution, and expel Christian Schmidt," Karan said.
He assessed that BiH is facing the greatest constitutional and contractual crisis in the last 30 years, noting that the constitutional crisis stems from the fact that unconstitutional institutions, led by a wandering foreigner, have reached such a culmination that BiH, according to constitutional and legal elements, is no longer a state, but it is also not a protectorate because protectorates have their own rules.
"It has undermined and destroyed its constitutional order to the point that it is unimaginable today in the democratic modern world. This crisis primarily arose from Schmidt’s decisions and the support of unconstitutional institutions, especially the Court and the Prosecutor's Office, which consciously provided support for a politically manufactured court proceeding against the President of the Republic," emphasized Karan.
He reminded that the process started two years ago, continues along the same pattern, attacking all constitutional institutions of Republika Srpska, the National Assembly, the Government, and the President of the Republic. He said that this is such a shameless and hypocritical political action that completely undermines the Constitution, constitutional position, and the elements of the Dayton Peace Agreement to the point of being unrecognizable and irreparable.
"In this continuation of their political persecution, the good thing is that even those from the international community will, eventually, understand what is going on, that they will realize that Schmidt and unconstitutional institutions are dismantling the Dayton Peace Agreement, international law, the international convention protecting treaties, domestic law, the Constitution of BiH, and predominantly, the constitutional position of Republika Srpska," concluded Karan.
