INTERNATIONAL WATER POLO TOURNAMENT KICKS OFF TOMORROW

TREBINJE, JANUARY 2 /SRNA/ - The International Water Polo Tournament "Trebinje 2026" will be held at the Indoor Olympic Swimming Pool in Trebinje from tomorrow until January 5, featuring national teams from Serbia, Hungary, Spain, Italy, Greece, and France.

Group A includes Serbia, Italy, and Spain, while Group B consists of Hungary, France, and Greece.

The opening day will see Italy face Spain at 10:00 a.m., followed by a match between Greece and France at 12:15 p.m.

Later in the day, Hungary will play Greece at 6:15 p.m., while Serbia and Italy will meet at 8:30 p.m.

On Sunday, January 4, France will take on Hungary at 6:15 p.m., and Serbia will face Spain at 8:30 p.m.

The semifinals and placement matches are scheduled for Monday, January 5. According to the organizers, the tournament will provide high-quality friendly preparation matches ahead of the European Water Polo Championship in Belgrade, which begins on January 10.

At the European Championship, running from January 10 to 25 in Belgrade, Serbia will compete in Group C alongside the Netherlands, Spain, and Israel.
