BELGRADE, APRIL 24 /SRNA/ – The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić said that Republika Srpska, together with Serbia, will act toward international organizations regarding General Ratko Mladić in order to enable him to receive treatment in Serbia.
Minić stressed that the situation concerning the Serb general is being monitored on a daily basis and that it is clear the detention hospital in the Hague is not suitable for his medical condition and represents either revenge or ill-treatment.
"I believe this is unacceptable, especially since we have heard that medical care and assistance have not been adequate. This constitutes a violation of basic human norms", Minić told SRNA in Belgrade.
He emphasized that Republika Srpska, like Serbia, can provide guarantees and address institutions and relevant bodies.
"We will certainly, through cooperation with Serbia, react toward all international institutions", Minić said.
He assessed that the Hague Tribunal has lost credibility, but that there remains a tendency, when it comes to Serbs, to apply the strictest possible standards while violating all possible international norms.
