INTEGRAL INŽENJERING VICTIM OF FRAUD IN ROMANIA

BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 4 /SRNA/ – Authorized representatives of Integral Inženjering never signed, nor granted power of attorney to anyone to sign, a consortium agreement for the construction of a motorway on the Cluj-Napoca bypass in Romania, a project valued at over one billion BAM, the company announced today.

"Integral Inženjering is a victim of fraud in Romania, which is why we expect an urgent reaction from the competent authorities. We expect the investigation to determine the role of the legal and natural persons involved in the fraud and to initiate the legally prescribed procedures," the statement said.

The company explained that an unknown and unauthorized person submitted forged documentation for the tender for constructing the Cluj-Napoca bypass motorway in Romania, and then signed an agreement on the participation of Integral Inženjering in a consortium with the Romanian company Dimex 2000 and the Bulgarian company Hydrostroy.

"Through careful analysis of the documentation, we established that documents previously submitted by Integral Inženjering in earlier public procurement procedures were used in this fraud, that some documents were `fabricated,` and that others were modified to meet the requirements of the disputed public procurement procedure in Romania. We have informed the City of Cluj-Napoca administration and investigative authorities of our findings," the statement said.

Due to the fact that part of this project is financed from European funds, a report was also submitted to the European public procurement office.

The statement emphasized that Integral Inženjering has never participated in any tender in Romania.

"It is clear that individuals from countries where Integral Inženjering previously participated in tenders, and where our documentation was accessible, were involved in creating the false documentation. We are determined to protect the reputation of our company, which was exploited in this fraud because of the references were necessary for participating in the tender," the statement said.
