INDUSTRY TURNOVER RATE INCREASED BY 13 PERCENT

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 1 /SRNA/ - The total turnover of the Republika Srpska industry for the first two months of this year is 13 percent higher compared to the same period last year, according to the data of the Republic Institute of Statistics.

In the comparative period, a 21 percent increase in industry turnover was recorded on the foreign market, while the growth on the domestic market was 0.9 percent.

Observed according to the economic purpose of the product, the highest turnover growth of 26 percent was in the case of intermediate products.

The total calendar-adjusted industry turnover in February this year compared to the same month last year was 8.8 percent higher.

In February of this year, compared to the same month last year, the foreign market recorded an increase in the calendar-adjusted industry turnover of 17.2 percent, while the domestic market recorded a decrease of 2.5 percent.

The total seasonally adjusted turnover of the industry in February compared to January was lower by 1.9 percent, with a 1.2 percent drop recorded on the foreign market, and a 2.9 percent drop on the domestic market.
