IN DOBOJ ON POSSIBILITIES FOR NEW COOPERATION

DOBOJ, JULY 27 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska and Doboj have a great friend in China, which is proven by numerous completed joint infrastructure projects, Mayor Boris Jerinić pointed out after discussions with Chinese Ambassador Li Fan regarding the implemented activities in the city's area and the possibilities for new cooperation.

He highlighted the construction of the new hospital in Doboj, the exchange and advanced training of healthcare workers, the construction of the Stanari Thermal Power Plant, and the participation of Chinese companies in highway construction.

Jerinić told reporters that he also discussed investment opportunities in agriculture with the Chinese ambassador, which will involve the Republika Srpska Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management.

The meeting at the City Administration in Doboj was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers, Aleksandar Goganović, who then visited the Doboj Hospital with Li, where they met with the management of the healthcare institution.

The new Holy Apostle Luke Hospital in Doboj was opened on September 4, 2024.

This project, with a total value of about 104 million KM, for which funds were provided from the republic budget, was implemented on a turnkey basis by the China Sinopharm International Corporation and the Shanxi Construction Investment Group.

The new hospital is designed to serve 330,000 residents of the Doboj region and its surroundings in the long term, and to meet the challenges of modern medicine.
