IMPORTANCE OF SAFEGUARDING REPUBLIKA SRPSKA'S CONSTITUTIONAL STATUS EMPHASIZED

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 4 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska Council of Peoples Chairwoman Srebrenka Golić and Russian Ambassador to BiH Igor Kalabukhov emphasized today in Banja Luka the importance of preserving Srpska`s constitutional position and consistent respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement.

They said that Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation maintain traditionally friendly relations based on mutual appreciation and respect for international law.

The meeting highlighted that numerous visits and high-level talks, particularly between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Milorad Dodik, are proof of this, the Council of Peoples said in a statement.

Golić and Kalabukhov discussed the political situation in Republika Srpska and BiH, as well as opportunities for further improving cooperation.
