HEARING CONCLUDED, DETENTION DECISION FOR MILIČEVIĆ TO BE MADE LATER

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 11 /SRNA/ – The hearing on the detention motion for SDS President and Mayor of Teslić Milan Miličević, as well as for city assembly councilors Mehmed Dubravac and Meša Jašarević, has concluded at the District Court in Banja Luka, and the decision will be issued at a later time, said Miličević's defense attorney Nenad Kovačević.

The prosecution has requested detention due to concerns that the suspects could hide or destroy evidence.

Supporters of the SDS gathered in front of the District Court building.

The Republic Public Prosecutor's Office of Srpska has proposed a one-month detention for Teslić Mayor Milan Miličević and the two city assembly councilors, Mehmed Dubravac and Meša Jašarević, who are suspected of accepting bribes and influence peddling, the Prosecutor’s Office told SRNA.

Miličević, Dubravac, and Jašarević were brought before the District Court in Banja Luka, which is expected to decide on the detention request today.

On Monday, June 9, members of the Criminal Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska searched the premises of the City Administration in Teslić, following searches conducted at the residences of Miličević, Jašarević, and Dubravac.

The Republic Public Prosecutor’s Office earlier stated that during the searches, approximately BAM 400,000 were found in the possession of individual M.M., while around BAM 50,000 were found with individual M.D.
