GOVERNMENT’S DECISIONS DEMONSTRATE SRPSKA CARING ABOUT ALL GENERATIONS

SARAJEVO, AUGUST 21 /SRNA/ - Council of Ministers Deputy Chairman Staša Košarac welcomed today's decisions by the Republika Srpska Government, headed by Prime Minister Savo Minić, concerning assistance to families and pensioners.

"A responsible government recognises the needs of all citizens and adopts measures that have a tangible impact on everyday life," said Košarac, who is also Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers.

In a post on X, Košarac pointed out that support for families and children through co-financing extended-day programmes, as well as one-off financial assistance for pensioners, shows that the Srpska Government cares about all generations.

Today, the Republika Srpska Government approved funds for one-off financial assistance to pensioners, which will be paid by the end of August. Pensioners whose pensions are BAM 698.48 or less will receive BAM 120, while those with higher pension payments will receive BAM 80.

The Government also approved a project to co-finance extended-day programmes for children attending private preschool institutions and set the fixed amount at BAM 200. The value of the project is BAM 1.2 million.
