BANJA LUKA, APRIL 4 /SRNA/ - The Chairperson of the Republika Srpska Council of Peoples Srebrenka Golić said that the judicial institutions should react to the statement of the Council of Peoples deputy Dževad Mahmutović that the Srpska police should be shot at, because it is a criminal offense.

Golić says it is incomprehensible that a deputy to the Council of Peoples who is paid by the Srpska institutions takes it upon himself to make such statements.

"I am publicly telling him that Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik will not be arrested and that the Srpska Ministry of Interior is the guarantor of peace and stability in the Republic, protecting every citizen of Srpska regardless of religious, racial, national or any other affiliation," Golić told the press in Banja Luka.

She has pointed out that no citizen can say that the Republika Srpska MoI devides the people living in these areas.

"It is incomprehensible that someone who is a criminal law professor makes such statements and calls for conflict, bloodshed, murders of police officers," Golić said, adding that such statements in the past led to civil war.

Golić stated that the persecution of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik by the unconstitutional Court of BiH was political and that Interpol also proved this by rejecting the request of that court to issue an international Interpol notice.

"The president of Srpska will not and should not be arrested. It would be a mistake if any agency tried to do that," said Golić and added that Dodik was elected president of Republika Srpska by the will of the Srpska citizens.

She has stated that the federal media and politicians should deal with the problems in the Federation of BiH, instead of conflict-mongering the people in Srpska.

Answering the question about the possibility of Mahmutović's dismissal, Golić explained that the election of deputies to the Council of Peoples is prescribed by the Electoral Law, which is implemented by the Central Election Commission of BiH.

"Mahmutović is not a delegate permanently employed, but get allowances and attends the sessions of the Republika Srpska Council of Peoples," Golić said.

Mahmutović told Klix portal that if the Republika Srpska MoI tried to prevent the arrest of Srpska President Milorad Dodik, it should be shot at.
