VIŠEGRAD, JUNE 20 /SRNA/ – The traditional tourism and business event “Golden Hands of the Drina Region” is being held today on the Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge in Višegrad, bringing together more than 20 exhibitors of handicrafts, homemade products, and traditional crafts from Republika Srpska, Serbia, and Montenegro.
The event, which has been organised in Višegrad for more than a decade, showcases the richness of folk creativity, traditional crafts, and the gastronomic heritage of the Drina region, attracting a large number of visitors and tourists.
Throughout the day, visitors have the opportunity to view and purchase handmade souvenirs, artistic items, homemade products, and other authentic goods characteristic of the Drina region.
The director of the Višegrad Tourism Organisation, Jadranko Janjić, said that “Golden Hands of the Drina Region” is one of the most important events dedicated to preserving cultural heritage and promoting traditional craftsmanship.
Municipal Mayor Mladen Đurević said that the event demonstrates how much wealth lies in the people themselves, their knowledge, effort, and skills.
The Višegrad Tourism Organisation announced that a series of events will be held during the summer tourist season, including the traditional events Višegrad Regatta and Bridge Diving Competition, which are scheduled for July 4 and 5.
