GOLD AWARD FOR MRKONJIĆ RAKIJA AT VOŽD'S DAYS OF RAKIJA IN RAČA

MRKONJIĆ GRAD, MAY 25 /SRNA/ – Rakija from Mrkonjić Grad has once again received recognition for its quality among 300 fruit brandies at the international Vožd's Days of Rakija event in Rača.

Member of the delegation from Mrkonjić Grad Milenko Milekić told SRNA that Čedo Milekić's 2018 plum brandy won a Grand Gold Medal.

Plum brandies produced by Gojko Bogojević in 2023 and Milenko Milekić in 2022 were also awarded Gold Medals.

The jury consisted of six leading experts headed by Professor Ninoslav Nikićević.

"In the final part of the event, a visit to the Emperus distillery in Rača was organised, along with a tasting of their finest rakijas. A visit to their archival cellar was organised exclusively for the delegation from Mrkonjić Grad," Milekić said.

The awards ceremony and tasting of the best rakijas were held yesterday at the Petrovi Dvori ethno-complex in the municipality of Rača.
