BANJA LUKA, NOVEMBER 10 /SRNA/ - The Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Radoslav Gajanin, told SRNA that this institution of higher learning is one of the most sought-after in the region for acquiring knowledge, emphasizing that it educates professionals capable of meeting the needs of the labor market both in the country and abroad.

"Our graduates have demonstrated excellent results in companies around the world. High-quality professionals are being educated in Banja Luka, and I am proud of these facts," Gajanin emphasized.

On the occasion of the University’s 50th anniversary, he expressed his gratitude to all professors, associates, and students who have contributed to making this institution widely recognized.

"We must continue at the same pace and give more each day so that we can become even better," Gajanin said.

When it comes to investments in student welfare, Gajanin emphasized that significant progress has been made in recent years in improving student accommodation, living conditions, and infrastructure.

"We expect construction of the Medical Campus to begin next year. There will also be other investments aimed at further developing this campus, which is one of the most beautiful in Europe," Gajanin said.

He added that the student campus is being developed with the support of the Office of the President of Republika Srpska and the Government, emphasizing that it represents one of the key capital investments.

"We are also planning to build a Center for Preschool Education, a facility that will house a kindergarten, but will also serve as a teaching base for our students of preschool education. There, they will be able to conduct the practical part of their training with kindergarten-age children," Gajanin said.

He reminded that the construction of the Science and Technology Park is planned for next year, which will be of great importance for both students and professors.

"There are numerous investments that will be implemented with the support of the Government of Republika Srpska," Gajanin concluded.

The University of Banja Luka is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, and so far, more than 50,000 students have graduated from it.

On this occasion, a formal ceremony to present 28 doctors of science who defended their doctoral dissertations at the University of Banja Luka over the past year will be held tomorrow at the Rectorate.
