FOUNDATION STONE LAID FOR NEW SIMULATION CENTRE AT MEDICAL FACULTY

FOČA, SEPTEMBER 12 /SRNA/ – The foundation stone has been laid today in Foča for the construction of a simulation and administrative center for the Faculty of Medicine of the Istočno Sarajevo University.

The foundation stone was laid by Republika Srpska Minister for Scientific and Technological Development and Higher Education Draga Mastilović and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Foča Dejan Bokonjić.

Among those attending the ceremony were University of Istočno Sarajevo Rector Milan Kulić, Foča Mayor Milan Vukadinović and President of the Foča City Assembly Nikola Vasiljević.

The center will span over 2,500 square meters and will comprise three floors and an underground garage.

It will feature modern classrooms, an amphitheater, simulation rooms for developing clinical skills, as well as accommodation facilities for students and teaching staff participating in international cooperation programs.

The project's worth is BAM 6.867 million, with the Republika Srpska Government providing BAM 4.867 million and the Faculty of Medicine in Foča allocating BAM 2 million of its own money.
