ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, DECEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - For Republika Srpska, Naser Orić is a war criminal, and the fact that he is not in prison does not change this; rather, it reflects that justice is blind and very selective, and singer Aca Lukas is old enough to know who this person was, the Committee of Veterans' Organizations of the Sarajevo-Romanija Region stated.

"Justice is in the hands of the powerful," the Committee added, commenting on the social media post featuring a photograph of Orić and Lukas, among others.

The Committee emphasized that Orić, the Muslim wartime commander in Srebrenica, is responsible for all the crimes committed against Serbs in central Podrinje by the so-called Army of BiH, and no court can deny this.

"Thousands of people were killed, mostly civilians - children, women, the elderly, and houses were burned, with the area ethnically cleansed of the Serb population, all under Orić's command. The court says `there is no evidence,` but there are victims. If justice had been sought for them, at least someone would have been convicted for the massacre. No one was; does that mean it didn't happen? We know it did, and we remember because it hurts," the statement reads.

The Committee points out that Orić is guilty, if for no other reason, because he commanded and gave orders.

"Unfortunately, this is not the only crime for which no one has been held accountable, but we repeat, that does not mean it did not happen or that no one is guilty. Let us remember Sijekovac, Trnovo, Jasenovac, Jadovno," the Committee says.

The Committee stated that Aleksandar Vuksanović, better known as Aca Lukas, born in 1968, is old enough to remember and should be aware of who Orić is.

"He should have known not to associate with, celebrate, or take photos with war criminals, just as Sergej /Trifunović/ should not have worn a T-shirt featuring the war criminal Jovan /Divjak/. Saying `I don't know` in such matters means absolutely nothing and changes nothing. Sometimes you simply must know. Orić's crimes hurt us too much for a mere `I don't know` to be sufficient," emphasized the Committee of Veterans’ Organizations of the Sarajevo-Romanija Region.

The Committee sent a message to Lukas saying that, after this photo, he is now even more appreciated and celebrated by his "buddies," as they love, praise, and glorify Orić.

A photo was published on social media showing, among others, war criminal Naser Orić and singer Lukas, who claimed he did not know who the person in the picture was.
