KOZARA, OCTOBER 29 /SRNA/ – Filming of the short feature film "Land of the Living", directed and written by Boško Krljaš and produced by Kozara Media, has began today on Mount Kozara, supported by the Republika Srpska Audiovisual Centre.

The film follows two boys during the war in Herzegovina in 1993, whose curiosity and imagination lead them to the top of a mountain, where they discover a world beyond their village and find unexpected salvation.

Director of the Audiovisual Centre, Anja Ilić, wished the film crew success and noted that the film was awarded BAM 50,000 through the Center's support programme and that the aim of such support is to strengthen local film production and promote young authors.

"We are proud that the Audiovisual Center of Republika Srpska supports films that carry a strong emotional message and display universal human values. Land of the Living poetically highlights the power of children's imagination and the goodness that persists even in the most difficult times," Ilić said, attending the film set.

Director and screenwriter Boško Krljaš has stressed that the film is inspired by true events and serves as a tribute to childhood.

"I wanted to tell a story about children who, despite the war, remain children - full of curiosity, imagination, and hope. The film is dedicated to all those who managed to preserve their humanity in the hardest times," Krljaš said.

Producer Bojan Vujinović highlighted the importance of support from the Audiovisual Centre and filming at locations such as Kozara.

"Filming in such locations brings a special energy and symbolism. The support from the Audiovisual Centre allows us to produce a film of high production standards while also promoting local resources and film talents," Vujinović said.
