EMELIANENKO: SERB AND RUSSIAN PEOPLES WILL ALWAYS BE TOGETHER

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 18 /SRNA/ - Renowned Russian mixed martial arts /MMA/ fighter Fedor Emelianenko said that he was greatly honored to receive the Order of Merit with Gold Rays, which Republika Srpska President Siniša Karan presented to him in Banja Luka today, stressing that the Serb and Russian peoples will always be together.

Emelianenko said that the histories of Russia, Serbia and Republika Srpska have always been intertwined.

"We share one faith and one blood," Emelianenko said.

He stressed that the Serb people, the people of Saint Sava, Tsar Lazar and Patriarch Pavle, had suffered greatly.

"I always strive to visit Serbia and Republika Srpska. I serve my beloved Russia and my beloved and brotherly Serbia!" Emelianenko stressed.
