ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, APRIL 23 /SRNA/ – The CEO of the Sarajevo-Gas Company from Istočno Sarajevo Nedeljko Elek described the ruling in Energoinvest’s favour in the legal dispute against Sarajevo-Gas as absurd and as yet another in a series of poor court decisions, calling on Republika Srpska Minister of Justice, Goran Selak to protect Srpska-based companies.
"According to this decision, we do not have the right to charge for our service at a price we choose, but at a price determined by someone who uses our services. This is a legal nonsense; it has never happened before," Elek told SRNA.
He called on Minister Selak to stand up for Republika Srpska-based companies, stating that it is not possible that whenever someone from the FBiH sues a company from Republika Srpska, they win the case.
"There is the RTRS case, as well as many other companies that have lost in court. I believe everything is clear - they want to shut down the RTRS signal, take over the transmitters, and take our gas pipeline," Elek warned.
Elek announced that, due to an absurd ruling in favour of Energoinvest Company, he would request to see the judge’s diploma.
"Either this is a legal professional or something else. If it is something else, then we will deal with it even more seriously," Elek said.
The District Commercial Court in Istočno Sarajevo ruled in favour of Energoinvest Company in the legal dispute against Sarajevo-Gas Company from Istočno Sarajevo, ordering the defendant to pay nearly BAM 3 million, along with additional litigation costs exceeding BAM 180,000.
