JAHORINA, MAY 20 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Energy and Mining of Republika Srpska, Petar Đokić, believes that the energy landscape of Srpska will change within five years in favor of green energy.

Đokić said at the "Jahorina Economic Forum" that Republika Srpska has concession agreements for the construction of hydro, solar, and wind power energy facilities, which will produce around 2,221 megawatt-hours.

“Republika Srpska has approached the overall energy transition with great responsibility.

We have understood that on the European continent, the issue of decarbonization has become crucial, and Republika Srpska is taking a series of measures,” emphasized Đokić.

According to him, it is necessary to protect the fundamental interests of Republika Srpska, meaning the domestic production capacities in the field of electricity based on fossil fuels, while simultaneously working on the use of new energy sources - solar, wind, and hydro power.
