DODIK’S COURAGEOUS NATIONAL POLICY RECOGNIZED AND VALUED BY ORBAN

BELGRADE, MARCH 21 /SRNA/ - Following Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s praise at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Budapest, it is evident that the politics of SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, which has been courageous and defended the interests of the Serb people, has gained particular recognition, political analyst Stevica Deđanski told SRNA.

"Dodik is clearly receiving special recognition for his politics, which has been courageous because it defended the interests of the Serb people, from those who also care about the interests of their own nations," Deđanski said, commenting on Orban’s remarks in Budapest that Dodik deserves the title of "the greatest political survivor".

He stressed that it is therefore important and very positive for the Serb people that Dodik has the respect of Orban, who is one of the serious sovereigntists who care about the interests of their citizens.

Deđanski noted that Dodik also enjoys recognition from US President Donald Trump, as Trump recognized the importance and strength of Republika Srpska, which is reflected in the lifting of what he described as unjust sanctions imposed on Dodik.

Thanks to his politics, Deđanski added, Dodik also has the support of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has met with him several times, as well as Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel.

"Dodik is pursuing a pro-Serb and pro-national policy that works in the interest of the Serb people. Is that easy? We all know that conducting politics in the interest of the Serb people is not simple, but it is very important and courageous on his part," Deđanski said.

He added that Dodik pursued a pro-Serb policy even when he did not have recognition, and that this is now finally being acknowledged.

"And that is very good for the Serb people. For Dodik, it is important that he receives support and recognition for what he has done in the interest of the Serb people," Deđanski said.

According to him, it is very important that Republika Srpska and Serbia have leaders who understand the global situation and are able to direct it in the interest of the state they lead.

Deđanski pointed to the joint politics of Republika Srpska and Serbia of respecting international law, noting that while everyone is somewhat dissatisfied, they also appreciate the persistence of Serbia and Republika Srpska in defending Serb interests in line with international law, at a time when, as he said, it is widely disregarded.

He stated that none of the major powers fully respects international law, but Republika Srpska and Serbia adhere to it, which is why they are respected.

Former Serbian diplomat Branko Branković told SRNA that Dodik’s presence at the Budapest conference clearly deserves attention.

"It is clear that sovereigntists seek cooperation with everyone, rather than being told what to do. It has been shown that the more you protect your national and state interests, the more clearly defined they are, the more you are respected - many may dislike you, but they do respect you," Branković said.
