BUDAPEST, JANUARY 31 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik states that Republika Srpska and Hungary share the values of the free world and want their communities and states to be preserved.
"Neither Hungary nor Republika Srpska wishes any harm to anyone. We do not want to impose our views on others, nor do we want others to impose their views on us," Dodik told the press in Budapest, where he met today with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
He emphasized that he is proud of the cooperation with Orbán, Hungarian institutions, and the Hungarian people.
Dodik stressed that Orbán enabled the revival of the Serb community in Hungary through his policies and practical work, which suffered greatly during communist era and needed the support of local structures as a platform through which both Republika Srpska and Serbia could provide assistance.
"This is an example of how peoples and states can cooperate. That is why we will move forward. We have our goals," Dodik said.
Speaking about the EU, Dodik emphasized that only incompetent structures in the West, embodied in the Brussels administration, could have brought Europe to a point where it has lost its economy, competitiveness, and energy security.
Dodik states there is no visible leader within the EU who could lead it into a new historical era.
He pointed to Germany’s recent initiative to create a European Union with two speeds.
"That means we need to seriously think about where we are going and what we will do. Or maybe it will be six speeds?! We do not want to give up our sovereignty through EU enlargement decisions that will not happen," Dodik said, adding that the EU, as it currently stands, will certainly not survive.
