BUDAPEST, SEPTEMBER 4 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik today expressed gratitude to Hungary for the attention it provides, stating that Hungary is not a side that merely cheers but, as he emphasized, one that listens.
"I am grateful for the assistance you provide us in the implementation of programmes and projects, what we discussed today and concluded that it is yielding good results and should continue. Without your attention and understanding, we would be facing bigger problems than we currently have," Dodik said at a joint press conference with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó.
He has added that decision-making done in remote offices about people in the Western Balkans attempts to sweep problems under the rug but, instead, generate new ones.
"That is the situation we are in now," Dodik added.
He points out that BiH has been facing major issues since the very beginning of its formation, not just today.
"Through the will of certain administration, we got it as a product that had neither a real foundation to survive nor a basis for proper organisation. We were handed problems that were only further generated," said Dodik.
