DODIK: TRUMP JR VISIT RESULT OF SRPSKA'S RELATIONS WITH COMMON-SENSE POLITICAL ACTORS

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 7 /SRNA/ - Sarajevo-based media and political circles are once again trying to turn an obvious political and diplomatic fact into a conspiracy theory, SNSD Organizational Secretary Igor Dodik told SRNA.

"Donald Trump Jr. is coming to Banja Luka at my personal invitation and on a friendly basis. This visit has nothing to do with any fabricated arrangements mentioned by Sarajevo portals," Dodik stressed.

He added that, according to such narratives, Trump Jr.'s visit to Banja Luka is "bought," just as, he said, all other achievements of Republika Srpska in recent years - political and economic - are portrayed.

Unfortunately for them, he pointed out, it once again shows that the imagination of those who view Republika Srpska through the prism of hostility and denial knows no limits.

Following foreign policy and economic successes of Republika Srpska, including the confidence recently shown on international financial markets, he said, there are now attempts to discredit its political contacts worldwide.

But those who are not used to thinking with their own heads, who are not accustomed to their own successes and instead rejoice in others’ failures, and who for years have relied on imposition instead of agreement, Dodik noted, cannot understand what is clear to everyone else.

He stressed that Trump Jr.'s visit to Banja Luka is the result of years of work by Republika Srpska in building relationships, trust, and alliances with individuals and institutions around the world that advocate what he described as common-sense policies.

"This is a policy based on a simple truth - that no one but the Serb people can decide about our people and our future, a right shared with the rest of the civilized world," SNSD Organizational Secretary said.

He noted that Republika Srpska today engages and cooperates with influential partners worldwide based on these principles.

He stated that is precisely why such meetings are no longer exceptions, but a natural outcome of the policies Republika Srpska has pursued for years.

"All success in this belongs firstly to the Serb people - the people who throughout history have upheld the principles of freedom, justice, and Christian values. These values connect us with many people around the world, including the family of US President Donald Trump and political circles that share the belief that nations must have the right to decide their own destiny.

Therefore, today I want to say something that may bother many, but it is the truth: Republika Srpska is entering a period of political and economic victories. Do not be like those who are inwardly fearful and outwardly cynical. Be proud. Together with you, we have endured the toughest pressures and attacks. And together with you, and for you, we are entering a time of victories for Republika Srpska," SNSD Organizational Secretary Igor Dodik said.
