DODIK TO MOSCOW STUDENTS: SRPSKA REFUSED TO FOLLOW SANCTIONS POLICY TOWARD RUSSIA

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 28 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska resisted pressure to impose sanctions on Russia, while its own leadership was subsequently targeted by sanctions, President Milorad Dodik said today during a lecture to students at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

Dodik said he was pleased to have the opportunity to address future diplomats.

"The administration of former US President Joseph Biden punished us because we did not follow their path", Dodik said.

He stressed that Russian President Vladimir Putin had placed Russia in the position of a global power.

"Today it is clear to everyone that Russia is an organized power and that the West cannot dictate terms. The election results in Russia show that its power is growing, and that is good for us as well", Dodik said.

Earlier today, Dodik met Moscow State Institute of International Relations Rector Anatoly Vasilyevich Torkunov to discuss cooperation in education.

Dodik and Prime Minister Savo Minić arrived in Moscow overnight for a series of meetings, with a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin scheduled for tomorrow.
